This weekend 3 Paramount BJJ competitors entered two separate tournaments and left with a total of 5 Gold and 2 Silver medals. Although these type of results are not foreign to Paramount, we must acknowledge the hard training and dedication that led to them. Here are the full results:
- Phil Mento (Grappler’s Quest US Nationals): GOLD in blue belt MW, GOLD in blue belt Open, GOLD in no-gi MW, Silver in no-gi Open weight.
- Abbi Durrant (Osagame tournament): GOLD in white belt middleweight, GOLD in white belt Open.
- Kayla Moss (Osagame tournament): Silver in white belt Open.
Without a doubt, competing accelerates one’s progress. It opens the competitor’s eyes to the techniques they executed well and will use through black belt; and it shines a very bright light on the mistakes that must be corrected.
