The 2014 Paramount Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Grand Prix finals have been decided. This Saturday, June 28th at 12pm we will hold the White belt and Blue belt Absolute division finals, as well as the Bronze medal matches.

In the White belt division, Jacques McAllister will face Josh Mento for the title.

To reach the final, McAllister defeated Rick Heist, Don Powell, and Ian Murphy. The semi-final against Murphy was a back-and-forth battle that ended 4-2.

On his path to the final Mento defeated Joe Bascelli, RJ Davis and Rob Risley. Once again, the semi-final was the most exciting match. Mento had several close submissions, Risley escaped each one but was unable to come back from the points deficit.

At Blue belt, the final will be between Greg Hagner and Phil Mento.

Hagner defeated Dave Landgarten and Anthony Garcia to secure his place in the final. While Phil Mento beat out Ray Hawkins and Henrik Strame to advance.

The consolation rounds are still going, but will be decided by Saturday. The Bronze medal matches will take place before the championships. Check out some of the pics from Day 4 of the Grand Prix:
